Guide Review - Morton's Steakhouse Restaurant Review

Morton's - The Steakhouse specializes in steaks but also offers a variety of fish and seafood on its menus. At lunchtime, you are given a menu to read. At dinner, the waiter explains the different cuts of meat and the various dishes. Appetizers include items like smoked salmon with capers, broiled sea scallops wrapped in bacon and served with apricot chutney, jumbo lump crabcake or grilled asparagus, roasted red pepper and balsamic vinegar. Entrees include lamb chops, fresh Maine Lobster, filet mignon, porterhouse steak, chicken and a few fish dishes. Vegetables and potatoes are served a la carte. Decadent desserts include souffles for two, New York cheesecake and Morton's specialty - the hot chocolate cake.

Morton's has a teriffic happy hour special, called Bar Bites. For just $4 a plate, Monday through Friday 4:30-6:30 p.m. and 9:30-11 p.m. enjoy three prime cheesburgers, jumbo crab, spinach & artichoke dip, four petite filet mignon sandwiches or chicken goujonettes.

The restaurants have private rooms available for special functions. They are richly decorated with with oak wood, parquet floors and oriental carpets. The rooms are suitable for any occasion and can accomodate groups large and small, exact size varies by location, but as an example, Georgetown's rooms can hold 10-72 guests for a plated dinner and 100 for a stand up cocktail reception.
