The Bottom Line
The historic restaurant is best known for its setting. With its location just steps from the C & O Canal, the Old Angler's Inn housed military officers during the Civil War. The inn was transformed into a charming restaurant in 1957 and consistently ranks as one of the most romantic places to dine in the Washington DC area. The food is okay, but prices are high. This restaurant is best for a special occasion or a light snack.

Guide Review - Old Angler’s Inn Restaurant Review
The Old Anglers Inn is a local historic landmark restaurant with unique indoor and outdoor dining areas. The menu includes salads, steaks, seafood, and pasta. I enjoyed the beet salad and the grilled Octopus as starters. For the main course, I had the Grilled Pork Loin which was tasty but too fatty and the portion was small. For dessert, we shared the Peanut Butter & Dark Chocolate Bomb which was delicious. Overall the food was okay, but overpriced.
