Zola is a popular restaurant and bar in Washington, DC's Penn Quarter neighborhood serving innovative American cuisine. The restaurant has a great location next door to the International Spy Museum and convenient to the Verizon Center, Chinatown and the Washington Convention Center.

Zola is a popular restaurant and bar in Washington, DC's Penn Quarter serving innovative American cuisine and a wide selection of wines and liquors. Zola was awarded "the hottest Bar Scene" by the Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington in 2004 and The New York Times named Zola "Washington's Hottest Restaurant" in 2003.

The menu includes appetizers like Tuna Tartar, Corn and Mussel Chowder, and Lobster Mac & Cheese. Main courses include unique items such as Bacon Wrapped Veal and Wild Mushroom Meatloaf, Roasted Portobello and Fontina Herb Polenta Stack as well as a Grilled North Atlantic Salmon Steak and a Char-Grilled Flat Iron Steak. Desserts are simple and sweet including cupcakes and milk, lemon chiffon pudding, peanut butter trifle and a S'Mores Fondue for 2.

Located in the vintage Le Droit building, Zola's interior is rich with modern style. The layout is spacious and the restaurant and bar can accommodate up to 175 people. There is a private dining room overlooking the National Portrait Gallery, with seating for 40 guests. Zola also offers private event facilities at the International Spy Museum, featuring loft space to seat 150.

In December 2008, Zola opened the new 1,700 square-foot Zola Wine & Kitchen around the corner from the restaurant at 505 9th Street, NW. The wine shop offers approximately 6,000 labels and a gourmet selection of pre-packaged sandwiches and food products. Adjacent to the wine shop is the open test kitchen, a state-of-the-art facility and open dining room that can seat up to 30 guests. The kitchen is open daily for recipe testing, culinary classes and private parties.
