Army Ten-Miler 2013

The Army Ten-Miler is the third largest 10 mile road race in the world. The race course begins and ends at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA and runs through the National Mall in Washington DC. Military and civilian runners come from all over the world to take part in this annual tradition. Race weekend activities include a two-day race expo, fitness clinics, youth runs, post race party and HOOAH tents from Army installations around the world. The Army Ten-Miler is produced by the U.S. Army Military District of Washington with proceeds benefiting Army Morale, Welfare and Recreation, a comprehensive network of support and leisure services designed to enhance the lives of soldiers and their families.

Date and Time: Oct. 20, 2013, beginning at 8 a.m.

Pre-Race Events and Activities

Health & Fitness Expo - Oct. 18 – 19, 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the DC Armory. FREE and open to the public. The Expo features official Army Ten-Miler gear, and over 85 health/fitness and military organizations exhibitors showcasing their products.

Clinics – Oct. 18 - 19, during Expo hours at DC Armory. Clinics include combatives and MMA demonstrations, conditioning workshops, an active duty blind Soldier with SORB presentation, MMA demonstration, stress mitigation clinic, nutrition clinic, and more. Race Course Location

The race course begins at the Pentagon and runs west to cross over the Arlington Memorial Bridge into DC, then runs east across the National Mall.

Transportation and Parking

All Metro stations will open at 6:00am and the Blue Line train frequency and cars will be increased. Take the Blue or Yellow line to the Pentagon or Pentagon City station. Read more about Washington Metrorail. There is no parking for runners in the Pentagon North and South parking lots. Limited parking is available at the Pentagon City Mall parking garage and surrounding Army Navy Drive.
