Washington Convention Center - DC's Premium Conference Hall

The Washington Convention Center, which opened in 2003, has more than 2 million square feet of space including 70 meeting rooms, 3 ballrooms, and 5 exhibit halls. This beautiful facility cost $800 million to build and is now the largest building in Washington, DC offering state-of-the art amenities for large and small events.

The DC City Council has approved the public financing component for a new 1,167-room Convention Center Headquarters Hotel. Groundbreaking for the hotel is slated for the fall of 2009 with an opening anticipated in the first quarter of 2013.

The Washington Convention and Sports Authority owns and manages the Washington Convention Center, which also owns and manages the Stadium-Armory campus which includes Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium, the DC Armory and the surrounding Festival Grounds, as well as serving as the owner and landlord for Nationals Park.

The Washington Convention Center is located in the heart of Washington, DC, in the Penn Quarter neighborhood, just steps from great hotels, museums, restaurants, and shopping. Chinatown is just one block away and offers a fabulous selection of authentic Chinese restaurants. There are also a wide selection of other restaurants near the Convention Center.
