The Blue Angels Air Shows demonstrate choreographed flight skills of the U.S. Navy's Flight Demonstration Squadron. The air shows include graceful fast-paced aerobatic maneuvers of two, four and six planes flying in formation. The Blue Angels are scheduled to fly at approximately 35 air show sites in the United States each year.
Each May, the Blue Angels perform a variety of high-speed, aerobatic precision-maneuvers above the Severn River near Annapolis, Maryland as part of the Naval Academy's Commissioning Week. Viewing areas for the show include Ingram Field, portions of Farragut Field and Hospital Point on the Naval Academy grounds. These events are free and open to the public.
