The Heart of America Quilt is an international memorial for victims of September 11 and all those lost in the war on terror. Fabric panels are being pieced together to form a large quilt, about one half acre in size in the shape of a large American flag. The Heart of America Quilt is an ongoing project that travels around the country and is displayed at various events. The quilt was on display on the National Mall in Washington, DC on September 10, 2006.
