Prelude to the Fireworks on the Southwest Waterfront

The Prelude to the fireworks on the Southwest Waterfront is a family fun event that is a part of the National Cherry Blossom Festival with live entertainment and hands-on activities for all ages. Organized by Washington Waterfront Association, the event will feature musical performances by the U.S. Navy Band, the U.S. Ceremonial Color Guard, the Seacocks, a boaters’ musical group, and the Spirit of Washington dancers from the cruise ship.

Date: April 11, 2009.
Times: Entertainment begins at 5:00 p.m.; fireworks at 8:30 p.m.
Location: 600 Water St. SW Washington, DC
