Each October, Annapolis hosts the two world’s largest boat shows--the Annapolis Sailboat Show featuring new sailboats and a separate event, the Annapolis Powerboat Show which is devoted to new powerboats. The Annapolis Boat Shows offer the opportunity for boaters to check out the latest and the best boats and accessories on the market. Here is the 2009 schedule:

Annapolis Sailboat Show

The Sailboat Show features new racing and cruising sailboats from leading U.S. and foreign builders as well as the nation's largest multihull display.

Dates: October 8 – 12, 2009

Location: Annapolis City Dock and Harbor, Annapolis, MD

Parking: You may park at the Navy-Marine Corps Stadium on Rowe Boulevard (Route 50, exit 24) for a flat $10 fee and take a free round-trip shuttle to the Boat Show at City Dock. The shuttles will run regularly to Church Circle and City Dock from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m., with the last shuttle departing from Church Circle at 8:45 p.m.

Hours: Thursday (trade/press/VIP only), 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Friday - Sunday, 10 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Monday, 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Tickets: $17.00 per adult, $4 per child, ages 6 & under - FREE .

Annapolis Powerboat Show

The Powerboat Show includes a fleet of boats ranging from luxurious motoryachts and performance boats to offshore fishing machines, family cruisers, center consoles, and inflatables.

Dates:October 15 – 18, 2009.

Location: Annapolis City Dock and Harbor, Annapolis, MD

Parking: Every day but Saturday, you may park your car at the Navy-Marine Corps Stadium on Rowe Boulevard (Route 50, exit 24) for a flat $10 fee and take a free round-trip shuttle to the Boat Show at City Dock. The shuttles will run regularly to Church Circle and City Dock from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m., with the last shuttle departing from Church Circle at 8:45 p.m.

Take Route 50 to exit 22 (Aris T. Allen Boulevard) and follow signs for Boat Show parking along Riva Road. Park your car for a flat $10 fee and hop aboard a free Boat Show shuttle bus that will run from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m.
