H Street Festival 2009 - Washington, DC Music Festival & Bazaar

The H Street Festival is an annual street festival designed to showcase the unique qualities of this vibrant Washington, DC community. The event is a part of the revitalization strategy to bring attention to the developing arts and entertainment district at the eastern end of the H Street NE corridor. This year’s festival includes more than 30 musical and dance performances, a fashion show preview of DC Fashion Week, face painting, rock climbing, basketball games, carnival games, free popcorn, cotton candy, and dog tag making, a fully-loaded Hummer display, luxury car displays, free health screenings, crafts, and international foods.

H Street between 12th & 14th Streets, NE.
Washington, DC.
The closest Metro stations are Union Station and New York Avenue.

The H Street Festival is organized by the H Street Merchants and H Street Main Street to promote the businesses, arts and entertainment within of the community. Additional sponsors include CVS, Coca-Cola, Verizon, and MB Staffing, Automotive Rhythms, Capital Community News, City Paper, Comcast, DC Arts and Humanities, Gallery O/H, H Street Connection, H Street Main Street, H Street Martini Lounge, The Rappaport Companies, The Washington Post, and ZipCar.
