Imagination Bethesda is a children’s street festival celebrating children and the arts, including musical performances, dance troupes, roving entertainment and hands-on art & craft activities. The free event in downtown Bethesda features face painters, costume characters, balloonists, jugglers and more. Local businesses and educational organizations will host a variety of activities to entertain and energize the 12-and-under crowd.

Imagination Bethesda is a FREE event produced by the Bethesda Urban Partnership and is sponsored by MIX 107.3 FM, Washington Parent and Bethesda Magazine.

  • Bethesda Green – Make a bracelet with recycled paper & play an environmental trivia game
  • Creative Youth – Bow tie and hair bow making and on camera green screen experience
  • Daisy Baby & Kids – Make daisy flowers out of paper plates and popsicle sticks
  • Dansez! Dansez! – Story telling, educational games and face painting
  • Glen Echo Park Partnership for Arts & Culture – Make-your-own carousel
  • Gymboree Play & Music – Movement to music, art project, bubbles
  • Huntington Learning Center – Create-your-own bookmark and math games
  • Imagination Stage – Create mouse ears
  • Iran Cultural and Educational Center – Make-your-own bookmark, face painting
  • Joy of Motion – Creative dance, movement with streamers and hula hoops
  • KID Museum – Introduction to circuits, non-traditional conductive materials and sound making
  • Kidville – Decorate-your-own foam frame and door knockers
  • Language Stars – Chinese lantern art project, bean bag toss and story telling
  • Montgomery County Pedestrian Safety Initiative – decorate a foot and pledge to safely cross the street
  • Plaza Artist Materials – Decorate your own picture mat
  • Round House Theatre – Create-your-own Imagination passport
  • Strathmore – Make-your-own comic book
