Each year one of Washington’s embassies is honored. The 2009 event is a salute to the United Kingdom. Since the Cathedral and the British Embassy are committed to promoting green design and technology, one of the tent's features will be an electric Mini-Cooper. This year's puppet show is Jack and the Beanstalk. Children's activities require the purchase of tickets. Tickets are $1. each, with some activities costing several tickets.
The Flower Mart encircles Washington National Cathedral with its tents and includes more than 50 booths offering gardening items, handbags, jewelry, and more. Food vendors will be stationed throughout the grounds with fare including Asian specialties, pizza, BBQ, Southern cuisine, lobster rolls, baked goods and more.
