Oktoberfest Reston 2013 – Northern Virginia Fall Festival

Octoberfest Reston is Northern Virginia’s largest outdoor fall festival featuring the seasonal beer and wine, German fare from 17 area restaurants, a family carnival, live entertainment, a chili cook off and the Great Pumpkin 5K race. Live music will include traditional German tunes from as well as favorites from a variety of local musicians.

The event is family friendly with Saturday events kicking off at 8:30 a.m. - the Great Pumpkin 5k, Pumpkin Smash Mile and Kids Pumpkin Dash, produced by the Greater Washington Sports Alliance will benefit the YMCA Fairfax County Reston. The Northern Virginia Police and Fire and Rescue Departments will face off on Saturday afternoon in the Guns ‘n Hoses Chili Cook-Off, with the winner to be announced at 4:00 p.m.

Admission
Event admission is free. Food tickets are $1 per ticket or $20 for 24 tickets. Carnival tickets are $1 per ticket or $20 for 24 tickets. All-you-can-ride carnival wristbands will be on sale for $20 ahead of the event and for $25 at the event; wristbands are good only for Saturday 10 am.– 2 p.m.

Oktoberfest Beers
Beers on tap include Beck’s Oktoberfest, Devil’s Backbone Vienna Logger, Dominion Octoberfest, Shock Top Pumpkin Wheat, Widmer Hefeweizen and select craft beers.
