ZestFest Washington DC 2011 – NoMa Neighborhood Festival
ZestFest is a ten day event in Washington DC, bringing life and activity to the NoMa neighborhood with art, music and community gatherings. The NoMa Business Improvement District, partnering with the Pink Line Project, is organizing the fall festival to activate and beautify NoMa’s public spaces.

ZestFest Highlights

  • The event kicks off with a wine reception at Union Center Plaza (810-840 First Street, NE) on Tuesday, Sept. 20, from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

  • Lunch-time events feature concerts curated by Bloombars, chair massage by Lunar Massage, a pop-up bike repair shop from Bike & Roll, storytelling from the Story League, and much more.
  • Field Day on Saturday, Sept. 24, will feature games for both children and adults, face painting and food trucks from 4 to 7 p.m. Bloombars presents an evening concert by Cloud IX and Tamika Love Jones.

  • The closing event on Sept. 30 features the return of Rock Band on the big screen.
NoMa is a vibrant, growing neighborhood north of Union Station and the U.S. Capitol in Washington, DC. In the last five years, private developers have invested more than $3 billion in the 35-block area covered by the NoMa BID, and have plans to develop more than 20 million square feet of office, residential, hotel, and retail space.
