The Pope John Paul II Cultural Center is a Roman Catholic museum located in Northeast Washington, DC next to Catholic University and the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. The cultural center offers interactive and multimedia exhibits that explore the Catholic Church and its role in history and society. The Pope John Paul II Cultural Center also displays personal memorabilia, photos, and artwork of the late Holy Father and serves as a research center and education facility promoting Catholic principles and faith.

Interactive Galleries at the Pope John Paul II Cultural Center

  • Gallery of Church and Papal History – Examine the 2000 year history of the papacy in a timeline called the "Legacy of Saint Peter."

  • Gallery of Faith – Explore your own faith and if you choose to you may share your reflections of faith through a video and audio recording, text message or a computerized drawing.

  • Gallery of Wonder - Explore the relationship between religion and science. This exhibit focuses on the moral dilemmas posed by different uses of technology.

  • Gallery of Community - The exhibit examines the vital role of community and service in Catholic life. The exhibit includes testimonials of giving and receiving and allows visitors to contribute their own stories to the exhibit.

  • Gallery of Imagination - Visitors are encouraged to participate in a variety of creative activities that bring them closer to God, their faith and other visitors.
