The Virginia Wine Festival, the largest wine festival in Virginia, features wine tastings from 60 Virginia wineries, gourmet food samples, seminars, concerts, arts and crafts and more. Seminars include everything from wine and food pairing to wine history to planning a tour of Virginia’s wineries. This years entertainment includes the music of boogie woogie pianist Michael Kaeshammer, the “boundary smashing” Rupa and the April Fishes as well as the Sean Keane Band.
Located less than an hour from Washington DC, Great Meadow is a 250-acre field event center and steeplechase course nestled in the heart of Virginia’s Piedmont countryside. Patrons can choose to enhance their festival experience with a ticket into the You Be the Judge tasting tent where Virginia Wine Journal Editor, Neil Williamson provides expert commentary for each wine as his team of servers pour to the seated attendees.
