Type of Music - Band Description
An alternative rock band that has been around since 2006, The Offset has been rocking around the DMV for some time now. They have played various venues from Richmond to Baltimore, and have played with many different artists such as Vinny Vegas, Carbon Copy, Earth Note Syndicate, and even major artists such as The Wailers, The Offset has become used to performing for quite a variety of listeners and fans. They release their new EP, Make Believe, January 28th.

The Offset came together in the Fall of 2005 with a few highschoolers and a passion. Mike Richards began learning the guitar and writing lyrics and began playing open mics and various school events when he came across Burd Boonyoo who was highly interested in making very ambient sounds and 90's-esk beachy music. Once they got a few songs together and pulled some contacts they ended up with Jonny Franks (Funk, Metal and Bass) and Ken Yang (Sarcasm and Drums) as a finished product and started a journey they hope to continue to pursue. The Offset has been playing music throughout the Washington Metropolitan areas and getting great feedback on how great they continually get with each new show and hopes to continue bringing music to the ears of listeners everywhere.
