Wildly surpassing any form of basic genre classification, the music produced by Baltimore and DC locals Tribe of Vibe is something which mere words can do no justice for. What can loosely be defined as the love child of electronica, funk, and jazz all while incorporating a veritable bevy of instruments, the sounds produced by the group of artists are at once emotional and urbane, soothing and empowering. This rare styling of orchestral influence interwoven amidst each band member’s irrefutable singular strengths makes for one of the most satisfying and intimate musical events to emerge in recent years.
Band’s Story - History - Venues Played
Tribe of Vibe has been working together since Fall '09 and began performing Spring '10. Tribe of Vibe plays all around DC NW and Baltimore, favorite venues have been Slaviya Lounge in Adams Morgan and Twins Jazz on U St.
