- Right on the Potomac and by the monuments - it's wonderful for sitting under a weeping willow with a friend (plus close parking!)

I can't pick just one!
- I do love the National Mall and Rock Creek Park, as suggested in the article. But some of my favorite parks are the smaller ones with playgrounds -- Clejmontri Park in McLean and Cabin John Creek Park or Glen Echo Park. One of my favorite picnic spots is the Sculpture Garden on the Mall -- Friday night jazz is a great time to spread out a blanket and enjoy some chow and great music.

- My family likes to bike along the Capital Crescent trail and stop for a picnic at Fletchers Cove. There are plenty of picnic tables and its beautiful setting. There's room to play frisbee on the grounds. You can also rent a canoe and go out on the Potomac.
